Reggie Garret and Christine Gunn paired up as a duo about two years ago, soon after Reggie moved from Seattle to Olympia. Reggie has always embraced a variety of forms, traditions, and styles including rock, folk, blues, soul, gospel, and Latin beats, as well as composing deeply personal songs from the heart. Many of his newer songs allude to black experience and history.
Christine Gunn is a classically influenced cellist/composer who also performs in Olympia's Treehouse Symphony and has performed extensively throughout the Northwest and Europe. Though she is a self-taught musician, her original compositions have accompanied independent films and performance pieces at festivals worldwide.
This will be a great opportunity to hear a unique duo performing amazing eclectic music from many traditions in a rich musical tapestry with luminosity.
